Adam Schiff: Trump Guilty of ‘Coverup’ for Releasing Documents on Russian Collusion Probe

23

As Democrats scream about seeing the un-redacted Mueller report, abuse House subpoena powers to keep the Russian collusion witch hunt going, and pry for President Donald Trump’s private information, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is saying Trump is trying to “weaponize law enforcement” for intending to release documents that would shed light on the motives of the Mueller investigation.

“While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies. The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American,” Schiff wrote in a Tweet.

The decision was made on Thursday by the Trump administration to declassify certain documents pertaining to the origin of FBI spook Robert Mueller’s now-completed Russian collusion probe.

“Today’s action will help ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred, and the actions that were taken, during the last Presidential election and will restore confidence in our public institutions,” Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

Attorney General Bill Barr had previously announced that he was hiring non-partisan bulldog John Durham to investigate the origins of the probe. The U.S. attorney has received praise from top Democrats for his exemplary record in rooting out corruption over the course of many decades.

Meanwhile, the President amps up his rhetoric – perhaps foreshadowing for revelations to come as these documents are released and digested by the public.

Trump doubled down on his accusation when pressed on it by the fake news media.

“Well I think a number of people, and I think what (sic) you look is that they have unsuccessfully tried to take down the wrong person,” Trump said.

Then Trump started naming names.

“If you look at Comey, if you look at McCabe, if you look at probably people higher than that. If you look at Strzok, if you look at his lover Lisa Page, his wonderful lover,” he said.

“The two lovers they talked openly. You know they didn’t use their private server because they didn’t want to get caught, so they used the government server. That was not a good move,” the President added.

Schiff isn’t the only prominent Democratic Party representative who is losing his composure over Trump’s push for transparency. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), who has feuded with Trump for decades, apparently passed out during an event in New York City on Friday.

The Democrats are not doing a good job of maintaining their facade as Trump gets ready to strike back following their multi-year investigation that ultimately cleared Trump of Russian collusion.
