David Hogg Plans to Major in Political Science At Harvard; Harvard Doesn’t Offer Political Science Major

Many questioned anti-Second Amendment activist David Hogg’s acceptance to Harvard, which he announced via Twitter on Saturday, considering that he openly complained about his high school grades and the fact that he achieved only a 1270 on his SAT test.

“David Hogg is heading to Harvard despite an SAT score of 1270. The bottom 25% at Harvard have an average SAT score of 1460,” College Fix noted.

It was also widely reported that Hogg was rejected from several public schools in the University of California system.

But still, the left wing media swooned after Hogg announced that he was headed to the Ivy League school in Cambridge, Mass.

“Thank you all for the well wishes, I’ll be attending Harvard in the fall with a planned major in Political Science,” he said.

But it looks like Hogg might have to change his plans.

First noted by internet sleuth Kathy Zhu, Harvard does not offer a major in political science. Hogg must not have done his homework.

The school’s list of “concentrations,” or fields of study, does not include Political Science. The school does have a Government program.

The gaff on Hogg’s part is a perfect metaphor for his year in public life, doing activism work against the Second Amendment. A simple Google search would have told him that Harvard does not have the program of study in which he was interested. Similarly, he could learn through a bit of research that the vast majority of mass shootings happen in gun free zones, that the Second Amendment shall not be infringed or that violent crime has reduced in America while gun ownership has skyrocketed. (These are surely things that will not be taught at Harvard, either).

Instead, Hogg opened Twitter, typed his message and hit the send button without any investigation at all.
