GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy Sells Out American Workers, Votes for Democratic Immigration Plan Rewarding Outsourcing

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who advertised himself as an ‘America First’ ally of President Trump to gain a Congressional leadership position, sold out American workers by supporting Democratic-proposed legislation to subsidize the outsourcing spree of Big Tech and other hostile multinational corporations.

The legislation, H.R. 1044, passed by an overwhelming 365-65 margin on Wednesday with incredible bipartisan support, as globalists from both sides of the aisle moved the bill forward to make it easier for American workers to be replaced by low-income immigrants from India.

The Senate version of the legislation is championed by Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), the venomously anti-Trump lawmaker who is running on a platform of racial animus in the hopes of attaining the Presidency in 2020.

“Ours is a nation of immigrants, and our strength has always come from our diversity and our unity,” Harris said of her legislation in a press release. “We must do more to eliminate discriminatory backlogs and facilitate family unity so that high-skilled immigrants are not vulnerable to exploitation and can stay in the U.S. and continue to contribute to the economy.”

There is a large contingent of bipartisan senators who have already coalesced behind the legislation. They include the bill’s primary co-sponsor, libertarian-leaning Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), as well as Sens. Roy Blunt (R-MO), Michael Bennet (D-CO), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Jim Moran (R-KS), Tom Carper (D-DE), Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Cory Gardner (R-CO), Ron Wyden (D-OR), Susan Collins (R-ME), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Kevin Cramer (R-ND), and Krysten Sinema (D-AZ).

McCarthy and 139 other House Republicans capitulated to special interests to pass H.R. 1044. The measure is backed by powerful trade associations, activist organizations, and think-tank groups including La Raza, The Heritage Foundation, Google, Immigration Voice, the Information Technology Industry Council, Compete America Coalition, Microsoft and many more.

Fox News host Sean Hannity blistered the legislation during an edition of his radio show on July 9.

“I do believe in merit-based immigration, but I don’t think this is the bill, though, because it would reward employers who literally replace American workers potentially with hundreds of thousands of low cost, less skilled workers who are entering on temporary visas, mainly H-1Bs, often working the tech sector,” Hannity said.

McCarthy lacked the backbone to stand with President Trump’s ‘America First’ mandate against this legislation to punish American workers. It will now go to the Senate for consideration, where Republican leaders in that chamber will have another chance to stand up to the lobbyists and power-brokers and stop this outsourcing bill.
