Failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams will give the Democratic party rebuttal to President Donald J. Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.
Here are six things to note about Abrams.
1) She wanted Georgia to re-vote after her loss:
The Democrat Stacey Abrams campaign is legally agitating for a whole new vote in Georgia, as Republican winner Brian Kemp performs the daily duties of the governor-elect in transition.

Gwinnett County — a focus of the Abrams legal team’s efforts — finally certified its vote Thursday night during a divisive session at the election board, which prompted the police to be called.
Abrams trails far behind Kemp in the vote count, but the Hillary Clinton prototype is hiring lawyers to stretch out their increasingly inane lawsuit strategy to get more rejected ballots onto the record.
2) She was a sore loser, and refused to recognize Brian Kemp as the legitimate Governor:
After losing Georgia’s gubernatorial race – and being granted more than enough slack after the race was over to garner additional votes – Stacey Abrams still refused to admit that Brian Kemp was the “legitimate” governor-elect of Georgia in a Sunday interview.
“He is the person who won an adequate number of votes to become the governor of Georgia,” Abrams said in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
“He is the legal governor of Georgia. And here’s the thing, Jake, I want to be very clear – words have meaning. And yes, when he takes the oath of office he’ll be the legal governor of Georgia. He is the legal victor. But what you are looking for me to say is that there was no compromise of our Democracy and that there should be some political compromise in the language I use. And that’s not right,” she continued.
Abrams was indeed “very clear” on one thing: She is bitter about her election loss, and has not accepted her defeat.
3) She founded an anti-capitalist, anti-integration black separatist group at Spelman College:
Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is one of the co-founders of the radical black separatist group Students For Afrikan Amerikan Empowerment (SAAE) according to archived records obtained by Big League Politics.
While it has been reported that Abrams burned a Georgia state flag in 1992 as a student at Spelman College, the mainstream media has turned a blind eye to Abrams’ deep connection to the SAAE group, comprised of students from all-black colleges in the Atlanta area. A source with detailed knowledge of the group’s activities told BLP that Abrams was one of three original co-founders.
Here is Students For Afrikan Amerikan Empowerment (SAAE) identifying Abrams as an “SAAE Founding Member” in a May 8, 2017 post on its Facebook page, which features support for Abrams’ gubernatorial bid.
4) The Black Panthers hit the campaign trail for her:
The Black Panther organization is mobilizing in Georgia ahead of Tuesday’s gubernatorial election, with Panther members holding Abrams signs and also military-grade firearms on the campaign trail.
The Panthers held an Armed Rally against voter suppression. Though the group maintains that they are independent, their promotion of Stacey Abrams signs is abundantly clear.
The group stated: “Panther – West End – Atlanta, Georgia – Armed Rally Against Voter Suppression. And relax, before you make any assumptions we are not working for & we did not plan this event with either campaign, and we have members with different political views both here in Atlanta as well as nationwide and even right here in this post. We did this on our own accord in response to the voter registration issue we’re still dealing with here in Georgia in 2018 (53 thousand registered voters voices won’t be heard this election).”
5) Virulent anti-Semite Linda Sarsour endorsed her:
Georgia Gun Owners, a non-profit that supports Second Amendment rights, released a hard-hitting attack ad against gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams Tuesday.
“Linda Sarsour – a dangerous radical extremist who wants Sharia Law for America,” the ad opens. “Linda Sarsour – also endorsed Stacey Abrams. Georgia is ground zero for the left, and Sarsour and Abrams share the same radical left agenda, including gun registration and confiscation.”
“That’s why Sarsour’s billionaire backers, Soros, Bloomberg [and] Steyer are putting tens of millions behind Stacey Abrams,” the ad continues. “Tell Stacey Abrams Georgians reject her radical left agenda and out-of-state billionaire backers.”
6) She pitched a gun buybacks on CNN:
Stacey Abrams told Jake Tapper on CNN about her bill, which requires gun owners of certain models to turn their guns in. Abrams openly talked about how to “accomplish this goal.”
Will people “turn their guns in” or will there be “buybacks”?
Tapper asked Abrams about her 2016 co-sponsoring of Georgia House Bill 731, and said that Abrams’ co-sponsor made it clear that the bill requires some gun owners “to turn their guns in.”
Here is what Stacey Abrams said.
“And again, my point is this: the legislation introduced was the beginning of a conversation. I am absolutely certain that were we to pass this in Georgia, we would have a conversation about grandfathering in, about whether or not people would turn their guns in, whether there would be buybacks. There are a number of approaches to take to accomplish this goal.”
